During this operation, at 00:31 AM GMT, an Antares rocket with a cargo including scientific experiments went into space from NASA’s Wallop Space Launch Headquarters. This was the last mission of this particular model of the Antares rocket, and it will be replaced by a new version next year. About 8 minutes after launch, the Cygnus capsule separated from the second booster of the Antares rocket. This capsule was carrying 3,700 kg of cargo for the crew of the International Space Station. The said capsule is supposed to arrive at its destination on Friday at 5:54 AM US time.
